Search Guidelines
- Search
is not case-sensitive.
- Punctuation
marks such as the period (.), colon (:), semicolon (;), and comma
(,) are ignored during a search.
Advanced Boolean Searches
Boolean
searching is used mostly by advanced searchers with specific information
needs. The Stariq.com Search engine supports the standard Boolean operators
and syntax: And (and, &); Or (or, |); Not (and not, &!); and
related precedence operators such as (), “”, etc.
The Result of a Search
The result
is a listing of items found at Stariq.com. They are listed in order
of keywords relevance, as found in an descriptions, and sorted in descending
order. The resulting relevance percentage is displayed after the article
title.
Preceeding
the listing are two links, "Hide/Show Images" and "Hide/Show Description".
They provide a means to reduce the lengthy appearance of the list. They
are persisent from one search to another.
