Author's Note: Phil Jackson’s most recent victories with the Bulls (1997 and 1998) occurred under the influence of transiting Pluto on his natal Midheaven and transiting Uranus on his natal Moon and Ascendant. With so much emphasis on Uranus and Aquarius, Jackson’s fortunes hinged on his “associate,” Michael Jordan. It’s no coincidence that Jordan is an Aquarius with a natal Sun-Uranus opposition. Times have changed, and Jackson is in a different kind of spotlight now. Transiting Neptune at 5 degrees Aquarius is exactly on his Aquarius Ascendant, and trine his natal Neptune in Libra. Instead of the Uranian Michael Jordan, now Jackson’s fortunes depend on Piscean Shaquille O’Neal, the current front-runner for the league Most Valuable Player award (Neptune rules, or is associated with, the sign of Pisces). Looking ahead to the end of the season, the upcoming Saturn-Jupiter conjunction in Taurus should cast some constructive support in the direction of Jackson’s Virgo planets. The Lakers are looking good!
