Stellar
Year For Hollywood's "It" Couple
Warren
Beatty and Annette Bening have a lot to celebrate these days. On March
26, 2000, less than a week before his 63rd birthday, Beatty received the
prestigious Irving Thalberg Award at the Academy Awards. That same night,
his wife Annette Bening was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her
critically acclaimed work in American Beauty. Many wondered
if Bening, who was nine months pregnant, would go into labor that evening!
She did not, but she did give birth to their fourth child and third daughter,
Ella Corrine, on April 8, 2000.
A
Baby Girl Who Reflects Her Famous Folks
Astrologically,
this baby reflects the deeper parts of both her famous parents' natures.
Her Sun, which represents who she'll be in the world, is in Aries, like
her pioneering father’s. Papa Beatty defined himself as more than just
a pretty face over thirty years ago when he directed and starred in the
classic, and risky for its time, Bonnie and Clyde. His new
baby's Venus, planet of love and art, is also in Aries, near Beatty's
Sun. It's likely that this little girl will do some acting herself, but
as an Aries, she won't "follow" anybody, not even her legendary Dad. She'll
cut her own path. Interestingly, the Sun also represents the way a person
sees their father. With Sun in Aries, she is apt to see her Aries Dad
for who he is: enthusiastic, passionate and sometimes infantile!
The
little girl's Moon, which represents her emotional nature, and the way
she sees her mother, ironically is conjunct Mama Bening's Sun in airy
Gemini. Like her mother, she will be turned on by high intellect and will
need a lot of mental stimulation in order to feel truly fulfilled. Two
careers, including one as a writer, seem more than likely for this blessed
baby. Again, she is likely to see her mother for who she is: a curious,
charming, but sometimes a little bit cool Gemini.
A
Baby Without Much Water
No
person's chart contains the perfect balance between the four elements:
fire, earth, air and water (in fact, that kind of perfection would be
rather bland, even scary!). Baby Ella's chart, however, is noticably lacking
in water. Water is the element that represents a proclivity to explore
the emotional side of life. She has plenty of air (cerebral inclinations),
fire (a desire to take action) and earth (love of material and physical
things), but where's the water? Only in her Mercury in soulful Pisces.
As Ella grows up, she may have to make an extra effort to develop a sense
of introspection and to understand others on a deeper level.
Love
Planets Reversed!
She
will probably learn the most about herself emotionally through her romantic
relationships, which are bound to be a little off center, but terribly
fascinating. Baby Ella's Venus, which represents the romantic part of
her nature, is in aggressive, battle-loving Aries, just like her mother’s.
Aries is linked to the planet Mars, which means that Ella may spend some
of her youth looking for love in all the wrong places. She may love chasing
love more than the actual experience of having a relationship, till she
discovers the positive side of Venus in Aries. When dealt with constructively,
Venus in Aries could inspire her to keep changing and growing within her
love relationships. And she could passionately challenge her lover to
do the same. This is the position of Venus that cannot stand being in
a rut and loves to develop newer, more exciting personas.
Ella's
Mars, which dictates her sexual and passionate nature, is in peace loving,
predictable Taurus—a sign that is linked to Venus—Mars' opposite!
The
ideal placement for Venus would be in Taurus (or Libra) both linked to
the gentle planet, and the ideal placement for Mars would be in Aries
(or Scorpio, which is also linked to the fiery planet). Ella's Venus and
Mars are topsy turvy! But again, sometimes the "ideal" or "perfect"
placements are a little too balanced and predictable. This girl's love
life is bound to be as passionate and unusual as well...her father's—another
irascible Aries!
The Many Connections Between Beatty and Bening
Beatty
and Bening have many romantic, as well as cerebral, connections between
their charts, too. Bening's communication planet, Mercury, is in slow,
sensual and steady Taurus, and is in the same sign as Beatty's love and
art planet, Venus, which is well placed in Taurus. Conversely, Bening's
Venus in feisty, challenge-loving Aries is in the same sign as Beatty's
Mercury.
These
lovers have another eerily symmetrical connection in their charts. Beatty's
Saturn, the planet of responsibility and discipline, is in wise, compassionate
Pisces, the same sign where Bening has her Mars, planet of sex and passion.
Again, conversely, Bening's Saturn is in Sagittarius, the sign that in
youth is considered an adventurer and in later life is thought of as a
teacher and philosopher. Her husband's Mars is in the same sign, and most
would agree, it's a good thing they got together after he'd had his many,
many, many (!) famous adventures in romance. As romantic partners they
seem to be very balanced, each teaching the other a similar lesson about
finding new ways to keep their passions burning not just for a Hollywood
minute, but till the end of time.
But
this Woman Will Have a Mind of Her Own
Their
child may have a lot in common with Beatty and Bening, but the newest
addition to the family may be quite the rebel with a cause, as well. Uranus
and Neptune, two of her generational planets (ones she shares with people
born during her era), are in Aquarius, the sign that is most unconventional
and ahead of its time. Both of these planets make a square (a stubborn,
challenging but ultimately growth-oriented aspect) to her Jupiter, Mars
and Saturn, all in artistic but hard-headed Taurus. She will surely change
the world and take risks on behalf of her generation, but it's extremely
unlikely she'll do it the easy way! This little girl likes trouble!
And
with her Sun in charismatic Aries like her Dad, and her Moon in bright
Gemini like her Mom's Sun, it should be easy for her to charm her way
back into her parents' hearts no matter how much she stands up against
them; and for her to stake out a unique but perhaps controversial claim
for herself in the worlds of art and politics in years to come.
