Dear Jilly:

Astrology Horoscope: CharlotteAstrology Horoscope: RayI got married on August 10, 2000, at 4:40 pm, in Seattle, Washington, and am wondering how our love will hold up through the test of time. Will it stay as exciting as it has been with our trust, commitment and love continuing to grow? We have always had a very close, fun and exciting relationship and want to keep this alive for the rest of our lives. Is there anything we can do to keep this spark? I was born September 16, 1970 in Endicott, New York, at 1:14 pm. My husband, Ray, was born April 22, 1978 in Innsbruck, Austria, time unknown. Thanks!

Charlotte

Dear Charlotte:

Two earth signs in love? Sounds good to me. You, dear Virgo, can mind the details, while your Taurus husband is bound to stick around as long as the sex and the food stay rich!

Well, Charlotte, let me tell you something fast and furious that jumped out at me while I was perusing your charts. Your Moon (emotional nature) sits right on Ray's Mercury (communication) in the passionate, impulsive sign of Aries. So I do think that the "spark" you speak of will always be between you. Here's why: When Ray talks you feel understood. He's an excellent mirror for YOUR feelings.

And when you feel understood, it makes you re-interested in your man, as if you are seeing him, and being seen by him, for the first time. And Ray intuitively understands that his ability to talk with you about emotional things makes both of you go from zero to a hundred (miles per hour) in the randy sex department! Aries is the sign that links you here, and it is a thrilling, impulsive little bugger!

Venus-Uranus Connection: A Bold Kind of Love

In addition, dear Ray's Uranus (planet of progress, change, growth) sits on your Venus (planet of love), in your Eleventh House of friends in the sexy sign of Scorpio. Down the road, when the honeymoon eventually ends, it looks like you and hubby darling will still be able to grow with each other—romantically and sexually.

I wouldn't be surprised if you two end up becoming quite adventurous as your marriage progresses, and I have a feeling Ray (being the Uranus person) will be the instigator of some thrilling changes that might initially seem threatening. Sometimes Uranus busts in and tries to instigate growth in an insensitive, abrupt way. Just keep in mind that even if the transition from "boring old marrieds" (bound to happen at some point or another to every couple) to "hot, re-invented love slaves!" is a little tense initially, the result is well worth it.

His Saturn Issues: Don’t Make Them Yours!

Now, your boy (and he is young, you seductress, you!) does have a conflict within his own chart that you should be aware of. His Venus makes a very close square (challenging aspect) to his Saturn (planet of restrictions and maturity). His Venus is in his Sun sign—laid back, sensual and stable Taurus. His Saturn is in Leo, also very sensual and stable, but the opposite of laid back. Your hubby may have a sense of entitlement when it comes to love. The square here could bring out the worst in these two signs.

Taurus at worst is lazy and bullying, and Leo at its worst is an attention-craving baby. But the wonderful thing about Saturn is this: if he has patience and tries to develop the wonderful, loving qualities of these signs, he can mature into the sexiest, most stable and attention-giving lover on the block. And you can help him to become the best in himself. (Added plus: then you will reap the rewards of his Leo luxuriousness and his Taurus horniness—in bed!)

You see, your Saturn in Taurus is conjunct (same sign, close degree) Ray's Venus, which means that he may look to you for guidance and approval in matters of long-term love. The rub is this: you have to steer the relationship on the right track. Don't let either of you get too lazy, but you have to let him know "I'm not in charge! We both are!" You don't want to fall into the role of the heavy, which the Saturn person sometimes ends up in.

I see "sensuality" and "stability," two highly Taurus words, as another key to your long term happiness.

The Future

So now that you're approaching your six-month anniversary, what does the future hold? Well, it's looking good, babe. In April 2001, lucky Jupiter entered your Seventh House (partnership) where it will stay until August. This brings some marvelous opportunities for growth right into your bedroom! I wouldn't be surprised if you two get the opportunity to do a second honeymoon during this time (even if you have to stay home and play Hawaiian tunes and get laid in the calm seas of your own bathtub).

In June 2001, Saturn transits the same area of your chart. That's when you and Ray can start really working toward your long-term romantic goals. Then, in July 2001, your husband has a Jupiter return—a time of great luck and expansion. And, as luck (or the brilliant forces of astrology!) would have it, Ray's Jupiter is in Cancer, the sign of home and family. Perhaps you two will talk seriously about your plans for buying a house or making room for the pitter-patter of little feet! Good luck, girl!
