It was so nice to read this article.
More of this type of material should be placed into the Public.
Oddly enough,I am presently nearing the end of a book written by a man named Claude Bragdon.
"The External Poles" copywrite in 1931.
Its similar to your article but more in depth.

I found your article so very inspiring - because one can turn it into a real meditation about the hidden meanings of symbols and how one can try to serve them in a way of compassion to all. In pointing out the "service" path of the sign Virgo, you are appealing to all of us to go further than merely our onw ego-needs, but rather to try and improve ourselves to better serve the community. Those simple attitudes that you described, namely how one can turn routines into a higher form of Loving Service to others, is something that can be an answer to many people who would like to feel more useful, but who 's lifes are still karmically full of work, apparently leaving no free time to help. If people really knew all the power they have to help, just by being positive, happy and always emanating good thoughts and deeds, this would become a better place! With a group of Friends, we used your inspirational text to meditate about this full moon and try to bring about in ourselves this willingess to Serve.

You seem like a very well informed young man! I have enjoyed all the articles you have written on StarIQ.
Especially the one about the liver, which I have forwarded to some of my friends.
Growing up in Hongkong and being part Chinese, I totally believe that anger hurts the liver, as a matter of fact I wonder if you know that one of our sayings for when people want to express, it doesn't matter is literally, Don't Hurt Your Liver!
Most people do not even recognize these words as it has become like part of the culture...like it means It doesn't matter, without realizing the true meaning behind the words.
You see, I truly think Chinese medicine correlates with Louise
Hay's You Can Heal Your Life. But you have managed to put it so well!
Looking forward to reading your other articles, and please write
one about kidneys, which seem to affect most of my friends! That would be the day when East and West truly meet! And we can all learn from each other.

Its funny that the issue of astrology and the hemispheres should come up right as I am travelling in Australia. I am staying right now in Hobart, Tasmania where my grandmother and other relatives live. The sky has been clear and I've been able to spot the southern cross for the past few nights.
I really appreciate the feedback coming from a southern hemisphere perspective. It is difficult to include both perspectives in short articles but I understand that it can seem biased and exclusive.
I will be tring to write the articles not only from a seasonal perspective but from the perspective of the zodiac. In this way I hope most of the information in the articles can pertain to everyone. |

The question raised about Northern Hemisphere(NH) analogies for astrology is a very good one. Clearly, Southern Hemisphere(SH)astrologers need to develop a different set of seasonal analogies to describe the signs of the zodiac. I remember a Brazilian astrologer describing Aquarius as sociable because natives of this sign are born in the summer! It has been argued that the NH analogies even work in the SH because astrologers there are almost all descendants of Europeans and, thus, carry these correspondences within themselves. In any case, the bottom line is to find meaning in whatever ways we can. We can expect NH astrologers to continue to see astrology through the lens of their direct experiences. I expect we'll hear more from SH astrologers who will then broaden our language and understanding of astrology. |

I am really gaining deep insight from the different articles I'm reading on StarIQ and this includes the recent one by Jon Keyes on Health.
Something that has disturbed me for some time though is the tendencies for astrology to be seen only through the eyes of the Northern sky and its seasons. We here in Australia don't face our Spring equinox on March 5, but in fact our Autumn is about to kick in. So interpretations that demonstrate burgeoning life and emerging from winter slumbers just don't ring true down here in the Great Southern Land. |
